Possibly Free Deoderant!

Oops! Looks like i missed a few good deals while at Walgreens. This week (think today is the last day), they also have Right Guard mens deodorant on a 'Buy one, Get one' sale. If you couple this with the $2 off any two coupon at coupons.com you might be able to get two for free! They also have Dove ladies deodorant on sale for only $2.49. If you run off the $2 off any Dove deodorant coupon on the dove.com website, you can get these for only $.49 each....not bad for deodorant!

Is It Really Worth the Gas?

Yes! There are some great deals to be had out there right now. I like to wait till I have several lined up before making the drive. Here is what I was able to score today for only $2.95!

All of the deals pictured are from Walgreens except for the toothpaste which is from Target.
Here is how I did it:
  • For the four detergents: see post below.
  • For the vicks cough drops: These are $.99 each or 2/$1.79. Buy in increments of two and use the $1.50 off any vicks product coupon from the 2/21 PG insert in the Sunday paper. You cannot use two of these coupons on two of the cough drops because the coupons take off way more than the cost of the drops. So use one of these for every two cough drops. I bought 10 of the cough drops and used 5 of the coupons.
So at 2/$1.79, 10 = $8.95-$7.50(5/$1.50 coupons) = 10 for only $1.49!
  • The puffs tissues: In the 2/7 PG insert, there is a coupon for "buy any two vicks products, get any puffs tissue for free". We have already added our vicks cough drops to the cart in twos, now we can add in the tissues. I got 10 cough drops, this gets me 5 boxes of tissues. The coupon states 'any puffs' so you can get the tissues with lotion or the vicks version. I got the really big (216 ct) boxes of regular.
So at $2.49 each x 5 = $12.45 - get one free coupons = FREE!
  • 60 count Resveratrol antioxidant supplement. Usually priced at $9.99 each. These are currently on sale at Walgreens for "buy one at $9.99 and get one free". Walgreens also has in their coupon booklet (located in store near the registers) a '$5 each Resveratrol' coupon.
So at $9.99 each x 4 =$39.96 - Buy one get on free= $19.98 - $20 ($5 off each and I got four- Only one coupon from the booklet needs to be scanned one time and it will take $5 off each) = FREE plus you actually get a $.02 cent credit toward your balance.
  • Tylenol Simply Sleep (24 ct) is on sale for $2.99 this week. You can go to the Tylenol website and print a $1 off coupon plus there is a $1.50 off coupon in the coupon booklet by the register. These CAN BE STACKED, just hand over the manufacturers coupon first to avoid confusing the register for what ever reason.
2 of these at $2.99 each = $5.98 - 2/$1 off coupons = $3.98 - 2/$1.50 = $.98 for two!
  • This deal was at Target. Target has Kid's Crest Toothpaste priced at $1.99 each. There is a $1 off printable on the Target website (in the search box type in 'printable coupon') and there is a $.75 off any Crest coupon in the 2/7 PG insert.
Two Crest Kids Toothpastes = $3.98 - 2/$1 Target coupons= $1.98 - 2/$.75 coupons = only $.48 for two!

This brings my grand total to only $2.95!
Remember, stock up when you can!

Dr Suess Classics for a Great Price!!

Walmart is currently running some good deals on Dr. Suess books. Right now you can get the titles below for only $2.65. To make it even better, you can choose the "site to store" option to get free shipping. If you are unfamiliar with how site to store works, you basically purchase your item online and make sure to choose "site to store" as your shipping preference. The site will then promp you to enter your zip code and will let you choose from which store in your area you would like to pick up your items. You will receive an email letting you know that your items have arrived at the store of your choosing and you simply go back to the layaway section to pick them up. These books are classics and make great gifts, stocking stuffers, Easter basket fillers, or are good to put away for all those birthday parties the kiddos get invited to!

Here are the books on sale:

Laundry Detergent For A Year For Just $12!!!

I know it sounds too good to be true, but just this afternoon I was able to get over a year's worth of name brand laundry detergent for just $12! Here is how you can too:
Located in the 2/21 Red Plum coupon insert in the Sunday paper, you will find a bogo (buy one, get one) for Purex laundry detergent. Well it just so happens that Walgreens is running a store sale for bogo on Purex laundry detergent. I went to Walgreens and spoke with the store manager who did confirm that you can use the coupon with the sale. This means you get two Purex detergents for $0! The way the manager explained this to me was simple. Either he does not let me use the coupon and I walk out with two bottles of detergent and the store gets the cost of one (the one I would have to buy) OR he lets me use the coupon with the sale and I still walk out with two detergent and he turns in the manufacturers coupon to Purex and they reimburse him for the free one on the coupon and I have paid nothing. Either way, I get my detergent, his store gets it's money. I had two of these coupons because I had gotten two papers, which i am always telling you readers to do. So I got 4 bottles of detergent for $0.

Okay, four bottles down and only eight to go! This week Big Lots has advertised in their sale flyer 2 bottles of All detergent for $5. You can go grab one of these and take it to Target for a price match. Why do this? Big Lots does not take coupons. I got 8 bottles of All Small and Mighty and had them ad match down to $2.50 each. That puts me at $20. Good deal but we can do better. Some regions are reporting that the 2/7 Red Plum had $2 off coupons which would make these only $.50/bottle. The coupons vary by region and mine happen to have $1 off Small and mighty 32 load or 2x strength which is the 50 oz bottle. There was a $2 off coupon but it was for the 150 oz bottle which is not what Big Lots has on sale. You can also get $1 off coupons at the All website. This means that I used eight of the $1 coupons taking your total from $20 down to $12 plus tax.
All the bottles I got today are the 32 load size...if you do the math, this means that if I do one load of laundry every single day for 12 months, I will still have detergent left over after a full year! (12 bottles at 32 loads per bottle) It will average out to less than $1 a month for detergent! You have to get your Sunday papers people!!!!!

Cheap Wipes!

Okay, I have been gone awhile due to family illness.....but I am back! I wanted to scope out this deal before I posted it, just to be sure it is legit....it is. Some are calling it a pricing error, some are saying they do this every once in a while but who knows. Right now at CVS, you can use your care card (they are totally free) and get the HUGE refill package of Huggies baby wipes for $2.50. These are the ones with 216 wipes that usually sell for $7.99-$8.99, so this is quite the deal. Plus, to make it even better, some CVS card holders are scanning their cards at the coupon kiosk and getting $5 off any $15 purchase. If you are lucky enough to get one of these coupons you could get 6 of these huge packages of wipes for only $10.....certainly worth the trip. I know people are reporting this deal all over the country and if it is a pricing error it might not last all week. I would also like to mention, if you scan these at the price checker the price will say either $7.99 or $8.99 but over to the right in small print it will say 2/$5.

WOW!

Wow! I just got TWO of these Playskool Busy Ball Poppers for $10! That is $10 for both, just $5 each! This would be an excellent item to get even if you don' t have young kids, but you know someone who does. Great idea for birthdays, holidays, or even baby showers! So here is how I did it: My Walmart, as well as others, have these on clearance for $10. You can go to coupons.com and print two coupons for $5 off, making them only $5 each. These come in the multi colored one pictured above, or you can now get them in a pink/purple edition..... I got one of each. I purchased one of these for my daughter for Christmas and was able through coupons and price matching, to get it for around $20....that gives you an idea of a great deal this is. My local Walmart still had about 20 of these left, but they won't last long!
