Supersaver Saturday Night Out!

Tonight is Saturday night and I am usually all about a deal, so I thought it would be fun to see how cheap we could go and still have fun. It was really fun, because we kind of looked at it like a challenge! We took one of the coupons for the free spaghetti dinner at Fazoli's (see "Mmmmm" posting), and as I stated in my "Mmmmm" posting, kids eat at Fazoli's free on weekends through August. Grand total for a dinner out with my husband, myself, and the kids? $8 and some change....not bad at all. Next, we went to Toys R Us just to kill some time. Kids love just being able to look and mess with all the toys...free entertainment. Followed by a trip to the mall where I was able to use some really good coupons (see links below)! I had a coupon for Bath and Body Works where you can get a free Signature Collection body care or room fragrance product(up to $12.50) with a $10 purchase. Now it just so happens that a lot of the Signature Fragrance products are either $10.50 or $12.50, so this worked out perfectly. I got a full size lotion and body spray for $10.50. Next, we hopped on over to the Yankee Candle store where I took advantage of another coupon I had (see below). This coupon was $10 off a $25 purchase. Unfortunately, their large jar candles were $24.99, which did require you to buy an additional item to meet the min purchase amount. I ended up also getting a votive candle ($1.99) as well as the large jar for a store total of $16.98. So our entire Saturday night out consisted of a Fazoli's dinner for the entire family, a trip to the toy store, a trip to browse and shop at the mall which left me with a new full sized Bath and Body Works body lotion and body spray, as well as a large glass jar Yankee Candle, and a small Yankee Candle votive.....and the entire night cost the entire family $35.48. Now, we could have cut down to $8 if we had not made any purchases at the mall. Actually, we could have cut it down around $6, if one of us adults had water at Fazoli's instead of soda. I wanted to make sure we still had fun and I wanted to use some of my great coupons while we had the chance. I just wanted you readers to see what can happen when you really plan out a night and take advantage of several of the offers that I have posted!
